This was from the sale of 17, 200 T-shirts for some 100 schools in Lae, Bulolo, Wau and Markham.The business community in Lae, comprising some of the prominent corporate names like Ela Motors, Traisa Transport and Papindo Trading, participated in the auction.Major sponsor Trukai has provided 100, 000 shirts for this year’s Fun Run, which will feature the Cancer Council’s message of “Protect Your Family from Cancer. Eat Healthy and Exercise Regularly”.The bidders will put their logos on the shirts and donate to schools.The Lae auction was the first of two auctions for the event, with the second to be held at the Royal Papua Yacht Club in Port Moresby this evening.Funds raised from the two auctions will assist in sending Team PNG to the Brazil Olympic Games in August.
