Women’s Basketball Continues Homestand Saturday against Nebraska

first_imgIn its last action, Drake (5-4) cruised past Iowa Wesleyan, 102-25, in the program’s annual Pack the Knapp for Character presented by the YMCA of Greater Des Moines game Dec. 5. More than 4,000 Des Moines and local area elementary and middle school students filled the stands for a fun morning of basketball, educational and fun activities. Total attendance was a season-high 4,615 fans. The Bulldogs were led in scoring by two of their local student-athletes as freshman Hannah Fuller (West Des Moines, Iowa) and sophomore Becca Hittner (Urbandale, Iowa) each scored 18 points. Fuller’s total was a career-high for the West Des Moines Valley product while Hittner, from Dowling Catholic, recorded 18 points for the second consecutive game. As a team, Drake recorded an impressive 33 assists on 38 field goals and six Bulldogs finished with three or more assists.
