Softball Sweeps Bradley Saturday At Ron Buel Field

Bradley scored three runs in the fifth inning, but Drake held on for the win. In the second game, Bradley jumped out to a 4-0 lead after one and a half innings. Smith came in for McKinnon with zero outs in the second inning and allowed two runs to score on a RBI single by Maria Schroeder, but escaped further damage as Schroeder was thrown out at second trying to stretch it to a double and ended the inning. Drake started the rally with one run in the bottom of the second inning and then tied the game with three runs in the third inning. In the third Kaitlyn Finneran (Morrison, Ill.) drove in a pair of runs with a RBI single and Ashlie Chambers (Ankeny, Iowa) followed with a run-scoring single to tie the game at 4-4 after three innings.
